Today, I was trying to jail break my ipod touch 3G using blackra1n. Due to some unknown reasons, the application was not installing. I tried to restore the ipod using ITunes and tried to install blackra1n several times. After a few unsuccessful attempts, my Ipod Touch stopped responding, and I had a white screen. I couldn't even switch it off or on. The Error Code 1601 popped up while trying to restore my ipod for the Nth time. If you are facing similar problem, Follow the steps below to get your ipod back to life:)
- Uninstall Itunes from your pc .
- Do a clean installation of Itunes .
- Connect your Ipod Touch again to your computer .
- An alert box will pop up from itunes that will literally beg you to restore your Ipod Touch .
- Click restore and sit back and watch itunes restoring the default Ipod Touch settings .
